Kirby Air Ride is a racing game.  Unlike other racing games that rely on speed to gain your attention, Kirby does it with innovation.  This game has extremely simple controls: A joy stick and the A button.  Kirby Air Ride has three modes of playing.  Air Ride, the first mode, follows classic racing game style of laps against a CPU.  There is a Time Attack as well as a Free Run in addition to the normal style of racing in Air Ride.  Kirby will race around a track with a vehicle you have unlocked, sucking up enemies and spitting them out or copying their abilities.  The joy stick is used to move around or help Kirby glide in order to reach higher places which sometimes leads to shortcuts, or even just to get ahead.  Top Race is the second mode in which you watch Kirby race carts in a face down manner around a small track, running multiple laps in a very tedious manner.  City Trial, the third mode, has Kirby race through a city, grabbing items that help power up his vehicle, and trying to defeat other Kirbies for their power ups.  When the time is up, Kirby's vehicle is put to the test in a randomly selected type of mini-game, testing one of his many stats.

Possibly the biggest point of the game is aquiring more carts and other things.  This challenges the player by giving him or her objectives to complete in one of the three modes in which he can unlock different aspects of the game by proving his worth.  Sadly, not all the objectives 'give something', which is somewhat discouraging.  Graphically this game easily beats out the previous ones.  Musically the game is fair.  Some of Kirby's old themes became remixed and placed in, making for some pretty nice sounds.  This Kirby racing game is certainly a great multiplayer enjoyment for all.
