Kirby's Avalanche came out during the time of 'Dr. Mario' games, you know, when
every Nintendo character tried their hands at a Tetris type game and each failing miserably. Well, Kirby did too, but
in a good way. The entire game consists of dropping down little gooey things that, when four of the same color combine,
vanish together, having all gooey things on top of it drop down. The object of the game is to try to score combos against
your opponent, which drops stones on top of the opponent's playing field, making it harder to win. The only way to remove
these stones is by making an adjacent goo vanish, thus removing the block.
Out of all the Dr. Mario-esque games, this is by far my favorite. The others
are much more cheesey in comparison, but this one is actually quite interesting. Most interesting is that it contains
voice overs. However, sadly, the game is far too repetitive and not really all that challenging nor fun to really stand
alone, and not really worth money to be spent on. However, if you own an emulator, definitely download it and check
it out, it will keep your attention span for more than several minutes!
