Kirby's Dreamland 3 was released as one of the last few games on the SNES.
It is heavily based upon Kirby's Dreamland 2, as, yet again, you are able to ride on Rick, Coo and Kine, as well as three
other creatures, Chuchu a block of goo, Pitch a little bird, and Nago an acrobatic cat. In this game, you must collect
Heart Stars, similar to the Rainbow Drops of Kirby's Dreamland 2. This game, however, has one in each stage.
And each one must be collected via a different task. Whether it be rescuing a small critter, bringing a friend to meet
someone, or even oddly tedious tasks, you will be sure to complete them.
Gameplay wise this game is great. Each level adds its own uniqueness to the
game. The abilities and rides create many various skills you are going to want to check out. Completing objectives
to obtain Heart Stars, while tedious sometimes, are rewarding. Bosses are challenging, and areas gradually get tougher
and tougher. The graphics for this game were very 'chalky'. Or maybe a better word is 'Crayonish'. I say
this because the graphics look like they were colored in by crayon and chalk, creating very vivid, colorful, friendly atmospheres.
The frame rate for this game should be noted. Transitions are very smooth, there are many frames for each animation.
Musically this game is very nice to listen to. This a true testament to Kirby gaming.
